I’m Michael Killam, the proud owner of Thermokline Mechanical
I look forward to sharing my story. I hope that you will enjoy getting to know me better.
I’ve always been fascinated with the inner-workings of electrical goods and decided early on that I wanted to render superior heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) services. So after training as a master gas fitter and HVAC R journeyman, I started my company twelve years ago in Brampton, Ontario.
Over the last decade, I have faced many challenges as a business owner. It includes selecting which kind of jobs to take on, and prioritizing technicians for specific tasks. I’ve overcome these hurdles with careful planning and ensuring that my entire workforce is licensed.
I also follow industry best practices, such as TSSA standards, and make sure that my jobs are fully insured by the WSIB and through private insurance, as maintaining transparency is an essential part of my value system.
I admire Tesla, as their determination to push the envelope with innovative projects such as Hyperloop is inspiring. The commitment and perseverance showcased by their talented team motivates me to work hard in all my endeavors.
I believe what sets me apart from competitors is my respect for others. I maintain a close relationship with customers and employees by using excellent communication methods, which builds rapport and has made me successful.
My achievements have allowed me to grow and invest in commercial properties, which has given me immense satisfaction over the years. When I am not installing or repairing HVAC systems, I also love spending quality time with my family.
I have enjoyed sharing my story about the things which matter to me and how they influence the way I do business.
